Skin Protect™ Complex, containing vitamin PP and a combination of two sugars, physically and biologically recreates a healthy skin barrier and helps maintain the skin's water reserves, restoring the skin's comfort:
Vitamin PP, by stimulating lipid synthesis, helps to restructure the skin barrier, improving skin flexibility and restoring long-lasting comfort.
The combination of sugars optimizes the skin's water reserves and facilitates the flow of water through the layers of the skin by increasing the synthesis of aquaporins (water channels). This provides deep hydration for 24 hours*; to support this action, it stimulates the synthesis of hyaluronic acid, a highly hygroscopic molecule.
The presence of glycerin and mineral fatty substances in these treatments helps to correct the skin's lack of hydration by capturing water from outside the body.
